Higher education is to enhance intelligence

Education at University level can only enhance what is already there and expose students to additional specific knowledge they did not have in entirety. The system of Elitism in this fast growing technological world does not anymore allow for this behavior. The urgency for countries that practice elitism in education find themselves losing ground in the economic world market and also locally in their society. One of the problems in many poorer islands and countries is that education is paid for and most don't have a literate society because most can't afford it. Poverty keeps them stagnated and the few achievers are constantly leaving with their elite education to go to the USA or Europe where they believe they will do better economically. Leaving the majority of the population below poverty levels both economically and educationally. If you want to start some more trade schools that would enable those that are not trying to be proficient writers or speakers, but may better serve their country being an expert ecologist in understanding the natural resources of their country and its value in the world market, then they can advise those that write and speak well enough to impress, what really needs to be done to get paid properly for the resources it's country produces. You need to realize that college is not just suppose to be about how well you write or speak, that is a skill attainable, but it is also an art form that we refer to as eloquence. It does not always mean that the one good at communication skills are the smartest or most knowledgeable about all things important. From the imagination a good writer can make up nonsense that sounds good. While a good mechanic can really make the car run when he is done versus the writer who can write the instruction perfectly for how to fix a car. Two workmen equally deserving of respect. Writing skills are developed over time and with usage or writing and rewriting. You have to do that at home with the speech used when raising children so they can apply it. Then when they go to school they must then be given the exercises to learn and practice it.
